Reviving Mother Tongue: 15-yr-old Faisal Ayoub Bhat dreams big through digital content

Srinagar, Jan 28: Faisal Ayoub Bhat, a 15-year-old student from the beautiful village of Irote Damjan in District Anantnag, is making his presence felt in the digital world through content creation. Currently studying in Class 10, Faisal started his journey in 2020 with gaming videos. Later, he experimented with comedy, vlogs, and other types of content, even handling more than 15 different channels. However, he felt unsatisfied and continued searching for his true voice.

In August 2025, Faisal started his journey again with a proper motive and passion. This gave birth to his new venture, “Faisal Speakz.” What makes his content stand out is his decision to produce videos in the Kashmiri language.

Faisal feels that the Kashmiri language is not just a language but an identity. “Kasher zabaan che saanie pehchaan,” he says, highlighting the need to preserve and promote the mother tongue. With very few people producing meaningful content in the Kashmiri language, Faisal wants to fill this void and give the Kashmiri language and culture a proper online presence

His aim is to encourage Kashmiri youth to express themselves, stay connected to their roots, and feel proud of their language and culture. Through honesty and passion, Faisal wants to encourage
