Assembly Session: No pvt vehicle to be allowed inside Civil Secretariat

Jammu, Jan 28: The General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an advisory regulating the entry and parking of vehicles in and around the Civil Secretariat during the 5th Session of the J&K Legislative Assembly, 2026.

According to Circular No. 04-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the GAD, no private vehicles of employees, including police personnel deployed for security, will be allowed inside the Civil Secretariat premises at Jammu during the Assembly session.

The circular states that parking space available at the new under-construction Assembly Complex shall be utilized for parking of private vehicles of Civil Secretariat employees on a first-come, first-served basis. It further clarifies that no escort vehicles, media vehicles, or any other category of vehicles will be permitted to park in the designated areas meant exclusively for Civil Secretariat employees.

All officers and officials working in the Civil Secretariat have been directed to extend full cooperation to the Senior Superintendent of Police (Security), Civil Secretariat, in regulating vehicular movement and parking.

The GAD has also requested all Administrative Secretaries to ensure that these instructions are brought to the notice of employees working in their respective departments for strict compliance.
