Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Aslam Choudhary told INS that the highway has remained closed for the vehicular movement today as well.

He said that the efforts are being made to clear the roads and hopefully, the stranded vehicles would be allowed to move by 4:00 PM today.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner Ramban along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban have visited the highway to monitor the snow clearance at Bagu Nallah Barite in Nashri to Batote stretch.

Pertinently, the heavy snowfall in Kashmir parts and rainfall in Jammu division led to the closure of the only road connecting the Valley with the rest of the country.
