Srinagar, Jan 20: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said that the redevelopment Amira Kadal reflects the administration’s vision of integrating heritage with modern civic infrastructure to create a vibrant cultural space in the city.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the bridge, the Lieutenant Governor said the bridge has been completely rebuilt with all modern amenities and dedicated to the residents of the city.

He said the smart city initiative aims to revive Srinagar’s traditional urban character while improving public spaces and connectivity. “Under this initiative, it has been stressed that by combining the old heritage and modern amenities of Srinagar, a good cultural and vibrant space should be created.”

He said after the completion of projects under smart city, the old connection between Srinagar and Shehr-e-Khaas will be revived. (KNO)
