Srinagar, Nov 22: The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir on Saturday issued an advisory for motorists following the closure of the Naninara–Sumbal Bridge due to ongoing repair work.

According to the advisory issued by the Traffic Police Office Rural Kashmir, the vehicular movement over the bridge has been suspended until the competent authority declares it safe for traffic again.

“In view of closure of Naninara-Sumbal Bridge owing to undergoing repairing work, motorists/ drivers are advised to take following alternate routes till said bridge is declared safe for vehicular traffic by competent authority,” it reads.

“All types of HMVs (up or down) shall take alternate route via Safapora Mansbal Barsoo (Ganderbal road). For LMVs traveling from Sumbal to Bandipora, please contact us via Sumbal Naninara (Alternate Link) Safapora Bandipora. All types of LMVs from Bandipora to Sumbal shall take route via Bandipora Safapora Mansbal Barsoo (Ganderbal road),” it reads further.
