Speaker administers oath to 2 newly elected MLAs in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 21: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker, Abdul Rahim Rather on Friday administered the oath to two newly elected MLAs in Jammu.

The legislators include PDP’s Aga Muntazir Mehdi from Budgam and BJP’s Devyani Rana from Nagrota.

They won the recently held bypolls for the vacant seats in Jammu and Kashmir with Devyani Rana retaining the Nagrota seat for the BJP. She defeated National Panthers Party (JKNPP) candidate Harsh Dev Singh.

Aga Muntazir Mehdi of Peoples Democratic Party won the Budgam seat by defeating NC’s Agha Mehmood.
