Talking to media persons, DC Labroo said that traffic in a city like Srinagar cannot be streamlined through isolated or minor measures.

“All line departments Traffic Police, Revenue, R&B, SMC, LCMA and SDA need to come together and prepare not just a vision, but a practical joint action plan with short-term, mid-term and long-term measures,” he said.

He added that suggestions collected from stakeholders during recent meetings have been compiled and shared with the government.

“Once the approval comes, implementation will begin so that traffic can be decongested in a scientific and coordinated manner,” the DC Labroo said. (JKNS)
