CBK conducts searches in Gbl murder case

Srinagar, Sep 8: The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir on Monday conducted searches at multiple locations in Ganderbal district in connection with an ongoing investigation into a murder case registered under FIR No. 23/2024 U/S 302 IPC.

Officials said that the searches were carried out at the residential house of Mohammad Afzal Sheikh, son of Ghulam Qadir Sheikh, resident of Bonzila Haripora Ganderbal, the residential house of Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Qadir Sheikh of Bonzila Haripora Ganderbal, and the residential house of Wajid Rasool Dar, son of Ghulam Rasool Dar of Haripora Ganderbal.

The Crime Branch said the searches were conducted in pursuance of search warrants issued by a competent court and were carried out with the assistance of a Duty Magistrate and the local police.

It is pertinent to mention that the case was initially registered at Police Station Ganderbal before being transferred to the Special Crime Wing Srinagar for further investigation on the directions of Police Headquarters Jammu and Kashmir.
