This milestone represents a paradigm shift in healthcare delivery for the people of Jammu & Kashmir. Robotic-assisted surgery is globally regarded as the pinnacle of surgical innovation, powered by precision robotics and artificial intelligence. With benefits such as minimal blood loss, reduced post-operative pain, faster recovery, and enhanced surgical accuracy, patients regain mobility within days—bringing global standards of care to the heart of the valley.

By introducing this world-class technology, Amandeep BR Medicity has bridged the gap between international advancements and local accessibility. More importantly, this achievement also places Kashmir on the global map for medical tourism. With its serene natural beauty and reputation as one of the world’s most sought-after travel destinations, the valley is now emerging as a hub where patients can experience both cutting-edge medical treatment and rejuvenating tourism.

Speaking on this landmark, Dr. Avtar Singh, AI- Robotic Replacement Specialist Chairman, Dept. of Orthopaedics and pioneer of Ai-Robotic Knee Surgery in the valley, said:“The introduction of robotic surgery in Jammu & Kashmir is more than just a technological milestone—it is a commitment to the people of this region. Patients no longer need to travel outside for advanced surgical care; it is available right here in Srinagar. This achievement has been made possible by the trust of our community, and we remain dedicated to continually upgrading our technology and ensuring world-class healthcare for both residents and visitors to Kashmir.”

This milestone of 200 robotic surgeries is not just a testament to clinical excellence, but also a reflection of the hospital’s vision: to deliver affordable, world-class healthcare in the valley, and to establish Kashmir as a global destination for advanced medical treatment coupled with unmatched natural beauty.

From just a five-bedded hospital, AHPL has grown to more than 750 operational beds, and a team of more than 170 distinguished surgeons and physicians, who have transformed more than 5 lakh lives, and counting. The Amandeep Group has six branches, with two located in Amritsar and one each in Pathankot, Ferozepur, Srinagar, and Tarn Taran. The Group has transformed 5 lakh lives since its inception.
