Jammu, July 25: An Agniveer died while two others were injured in a landmine blast in the Krishna Ghati sector of the Poonch district, officials said on Friday.

An official said that the incident happened when a team of the Army was on a routine patrol near their forward post.

He said that while patrolling, the soldiers accidently stepped on a landmine, resulting into the death a soldier and injuries to two others.

Meanwhile, Army’ White Knight Corps paid tribute to the deceased soldier. “All ranks pay solemn tribute to Agniveer Lalit Kumar of 7 JAT Regiment, who made the supreme sacrifice, while on an area domination patrol in general area of Krishna Ghati brigade on 25 July 2025, following a mine blast.

We stand with the bereaved family in this hour of grief,” it said in a post on X. (KNO)
