Police establishes helpline for victims of terrorism in Kashmir parts

Srinagar, Jul 02: Police on Wednesday said that in a significant initiative aimed at providing timely support and assistance to the families affected by terrorism, Police have established dedicated Grievance Cells/Helplines in Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla and Sopore. This initiative is intended to facilitate the registration and resolution of grievances of terrorism affected families across the district.

In a statement issued to the INS, the police said that in Anantnag, helpline has been established at the District Police Office Anantang. Victims or their kin can approach the helpline number 01932-222870 to register grievances or seek assistance. In Budgam, the victims or their family members can reach out to the helpline number 9541902668 established at District Police Office Budgam, available from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Meanwhile, in Baramulla, the helpline has been established at District Police Headquarter Baramulla. Affected individuals or their families can approach the helpline number 95419-40261 (voice call, SMS and WhatsApp support available) on all working days between 1000 hrs (10 am) to 1800 hrs (6pm). Besides, in Sopore helpline has been established at District Police Headquarters, Sopore and affected individuals or their families can approach helpline numbers 9596773073 or 01954222313 (10 AM to 6 PM) on all working days.

J&K Police is fully committed to extending every possible support and will promptly share the collected information with the concerned authorities for appropriate action, reads the statement.
