Chants of “Bum Bum Bhole” and “Har Har Mahadev” echoed as the convoy of pilgrims set out towards the sacred cave shrine nestled in the Himalayas.

An official said that two batches of more than 3500 pilgrims left Jammu this morning.

Security has been intensified along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), with elaborate arrangements in place to ensure the safe passage of yatris under strict surveillance.

In a post on X, LG Sinha wrote, “Wishing all spiritual seekers a safe and comfortable journey to the holy abode of Lord Shiva and a deeply soul-stirring experience. Prayed to Baba Amarnath for peace and blessings to all.”

On Tuesday, LG Manoj Sinha visited Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar to personally review the facilities and arrangements for the pilgrims. He inspected food and lodging services, registration counters, security setup, power and water supply, medical facilities, sanitation, transport arrangements, and emergency response systems.

During the visit, LG Sinha interacted with the devotees of Baba Barfani and extended warm wishes, hoping for a safe, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for all.

Earlier this week, LG Sinha had also convened an all-party meeting to brief political leaders about the ongoing preparations. He further held interactions with civil society groups, trade bodies, religious and social organisations, and chaired multiple high-level security review meetings to assess readiness for the yatra.
