2 former ministers rejoin Congress

Srinagar, June 27: In a significant political development, two senior leaders and former ministers, Taj Mohiuddin and Ghulam Mohammad Saroori rejoined Congress party on Friday.

The duo parted ways with the Congress following the launch of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP). However, they stayed for a brief period there and contested the 2024 Assembly elections as independent candidates.

They rejoined the party today in presnece of top Congress leaders inlcuding Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra, All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secertary Ghulam Ahmad Mir and others.
