Srinagar, Jun 4: The Jal Shakti Department has initiated departmental proceedings against two then Junior Engineers posted in Irrigation Division Jammu in connection with a contempt case.

According to a government order, as per JKNS, “In terms of Sub-rule (4) of Rule 33 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Shri Jugal Kishore Nagotra, I/c Superintending Engineer, RTIC, Jammu as the Inquiry Officer to enquire into the charges framed and served upon Shri V. K Dhar and Shri Satish Vaid, the then Junior Engineers, posted in the Irrigation Division No. II, Jammu, in case titled Deep Raj Vs M. Raju (Contempt No. 180/2018 in OWP No. 638/2018). Besides, Smt. Samina Choudhary, Assistant Executive Engineer (Technical Officer to Executive Engineer), Irrigation Division No. II, Jammu shall be the Presenting Officer in the case.”

“The Inquiry Officer shall conduct the exhaustive enquiry and submit his report/findings alongwith specific recommendations to the Government within 15 days positively from the date of issuance of the order,” reads the order.
