DIG Shiv Kumar reviews security ahead of VVIP visit

Jammu, Jun 04: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Jammu-Kathua-Samba (JKS) Range, Shiv Kumar Wednesday conducted visit to border areas and reviwed security and operational preparedness of the districts.

The visit was conducted ahead of VVIP visit in J&K.

During the visit, he directed all SSPs, ASPs , SP ops, Dysp Ops, SDPOs and officers from intelligence agencies to work hard on ground and all possible measures be taken to thwart the nefarious designs of enemies.

All Border areas, Old infiltration routes be searched, strict action be taken against anti-national and anti social elements and OGWs, reads a statement issued to INS.

Public in remote villages and minority pockets be made aware about security, VDG s activation, Regular Police Public meetings in these remote villages be conducted it reads.
