Officials said that Shah was accompanied by senior security and administration officials during the visit.

The high-level visit comes a day after Shah chaired a late-night security review meeting in Srinagar following his arrival in Jammu and Kashmir.

Baisaran, a tourist destination near Pahalgam, turned into a scene of horror after terrorists indiscriminately opened fire on a group of tourists, leaving several dead and many others injured. (JKNS)
