Srinagar, Mar 12: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg promote the tourist destination and also helps government to develop the ski slopes and other related things to make it a world-class skiing destination.

Speaking with reporters in Gulmarg, the Chief Minister, as per KNO, expressed happiness over the conduct of 5th edition of Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg

He said that after the recent snowfall, a survey was done and accordingly the event was held. “I want good slopes to be built here so that it can help further in generating employment,” he added.

Second phase of 5th Khelo India Winter Games 2025 commenced in Gulmarg on March 9 amid heightened security arrangements to ensure a safe, smooth and successful event.
