MeT predicts more rains, snow in J&K till tomorrow

Srinagar, Feb 27: After two-day intermittent rain and snow, the weatherman on Thursday predicted light to moderate rains and snowfall for the next two days in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per Director Meteorological department (MeT), generally cloudy weather is expected for today and tomorrow with the possibility of light to moderate rain and snow at most places with isolated heavy rain and snow over both Kashmir & Jammu divisions & improvement from 28th afternoon.

On 1-2nd March, generally cloudy with light rain and snow is expected at isolated to scattered places while on 3rd March, light to moderate Rain/Snow at many places.

From 4-8th March, the weather would remain generally dry.

In its advisory, the MeT has predicted temporary disruption of surface transportation mainly over Sadhna pass, Razdhan Pass, Sonamarg-Zojila-Gumri axis, Mughal Road, Sinthan pass & other major roads of hilly dists.

Tourists, travellers and transporters are advised to plan accordingly & follow administration and traffic advisory while farmers have been advised to suspend irrigation & other farm operations.

Landslides, mudslides and shooting stones are also possible at vulnerable places.
