Woman killed, 12 injured in Ramban accident

Jammu, Feb 24: A 33-year-old woman died and twelve people were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Ramban district on Monday.

Official sources told GNS that a Tata Sumo (JK19A-1331) coming from Chabba to Ramban turned turtle at Galli Upper Neera area of the district at around 10:15 am, resulting in the death of Sankesha Devi, 33, wife Raghbeer Singh of Chabba while 12 other injured people were shifted to DH Ramnan by the police and volunteers. The injured have been identified as Patial Singh, 45, Surjeet Singh (driver), 28, Chain Singh, 49, Santok Singh, 29, Amar Jyoti, 24, Seema Devi, 40, Raghuveer Singh,36, Raj Gopal Singh, 24, Kehar Singh, 36, Rangeel Singh, 28, Vidya Devi, 50 and 2-year-old Manika Devi.

Confirming it, a police officer told GNS that a case has been registered and investigations taken up.
