Srinagar, Feb 14: Police on Friday said that it have attached property under Unlawful Activities Prevention act in north Kashmir’s Sopore.

In a statement, the police said that in a significant operation, Police in Sopore attached a single-storied house along with a single-storied poultry farm and two kanals of land under Survey No. 529/1 in the estate of Rakhi Sultanpora Sumbal.

According to police spokesman further stated that this action, taken under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) of 1967, is linked to Case FIR No. 307/2023 of Police Station Sopore. The attachment was carried out in the presence of a duly constituted police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring strict compliance with all legal procedures.

This step marks a crucial advancement in the investigation of unlawful and subversive activities in the region, highlighting Police’s dedication to countering threats to national security and promoting peace and stability, reads the statement.
