Speaking to media persons, Sadiq, as per KNO, said that the Chief Minister discussed multiple issues including statehood restoration, Kathua, and Baramulla incidents with the Home Minister.

“We cannot get directly involved in these incidents as law and order is not our domain, but we have directly taken up the issue with the Home Minister. We are on it, but we reiterate that no innocent should be killed. The public cooperation is imperative to improve the situation,” Sadiq said.

He said that discussion has taken place in a cordial atmosphere. “We have been reiterating that the statehood be restored at an earliest so that all the issues can be resolved.”
