Pertinently, the Lieutenant Governor has summoned the J&K Legislative Assembly to meet at Jammu on Monday, March 03, 2025.

However, the holy month of Ramadhan is all set to commence from March 1st with the Muslim employees saying that the Assembly session in the pious month would deprive them from performing the religious duties.

“The Assembly session in the holy month will end up in the sufferings of Muslim employees, who will have to manage the religious obligations like Taraveeh, Shri, Iftari amidst the busiest schedule during the session,” the employees said.

They added the legislators had also pitched for the early Assembly Session in wake of the holy month.

The employees demanded intervention in this regard and sought some relief for the holy month of Ramadhan.
