An official told KNO that the team is accompanied by experts from some of the most reputed institutions of the country.

The team has been tasked to ascertain the cause of deaths in the Budhal village. So far, 17 villagers have died mysteriously in the last 50 days, with J&K health minister Sakina Itoo ruling out any virus or infection as the cause.

Home minister Amit Shah had on Saturday ordered the constitution of an inter-ministerial team to ascertain the cause of deaths. Jammu and Kashmir police has also set up an 11-member Special Investigation Team to probe these “mystery” deaths.
