Udhampur, Dec 26: A terror associate has been detained and lodged under PSA in Udhampur district.

An official told JKNS that acting tough against terror supporters in the district, Udhampur Police have detained and lodged in Jail a hard-core terror associate under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).

The accused has been identified as Abdul Qayoom @Bittu son of Abdul Gani resident of Kadwah, Basantgarh who has involved in providing logistics support to terrorist groups and working as active guide/facilitator for terrorist organisations till his arrest.

Several FIR cases were registered against him in Police Station Basantgarh and keeping in view the activities of accused he was ordered to be detained under Public Safety Act, official said.
