Nukad Natak on drug abuse organized in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 11: A significant campaign against the drug menace is being organised by Range Police headquarters Jammu. As part of the campaign, a drug awareness campaign aimed at fostering a drug free community through a Nukad Natak (a team of Nav Durga Kala Manch) headed by Shazi Khan was organized.

The programme was conducted at Mukharjee chowk, Kathua under Civic Action Programme under the guidance of DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range Shiv Kumar Sharma.

Programme started with the warm welcome of SSP Kathua Shobhit Saxena and SO to DIG Jammu Rajinder Singh Katoch SSP.

In the programme, Rajinder Singh Katoch, SSP while addressing to media said that “drug is a poison which destroys once life and we should stay away from drugs and guide others to stay away from it and also guide about its bad effects in our life.”

He also said that drug taken is a most common habit in the youths, these days. It is very important to sensitize our youth in every section of the society on the subject of drug abuse.

A play related to drug abuse also performed by the students of Kids Heaven School Kathua. Team Nukad Natak and students of Kids Heaven School awarded with Cash Prize from RPHQ Jammu on the directions of DIG JSK Range for their outstanding performance related to drug abuse and its bad effects.

The general public present in the programme appreciated and thanked Jammu & Kashmir Police for organising such knowledgeable/entertaining programme related to drug abuse.

On the occasion, Dy.SP Hqrs. Kathua Manjeet Singh, Dy.SP DAR Kathua Subash Chander, SHO Kathua Ajay Chib and other prominent citizens were present to grace the occasion.

Anchor PSI Kiran Team CAP RPHQ, Jammu SI Suresh Kumar, ASI Jasvir Singh, Sgct Ishant Sharma were present during the event.
