Srinagar, Nov 03: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi and Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din on Sunday visited the hospital to meet the civilians injured in a grenade blast that occurred at the busy Sunday Market in Srinagar.

“The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir visited the injured civilians at a city hospital, showing concern for their well-being following a grenade blast at the Sunday Market in Srinagar today. The explosion, which took place near the TRC, injured at least eleven people, all of whom are currently in stable condition. The IGP wished the victims a speedy recovery and assured that action would be taken against the perpetrators of this crime,” reads a statement issued by the police spokesperson, as per KNO.

it reads as the attack which took place near the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC), left at least eleven people injured, all of them are currently in stable condition.

During the hospital visit, the IGP expressed concern for the victims’ recovery and assured them and their families that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the incident.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din said also visited the injured persons at the hospital.

“We have met the injured persons here, who are undergoing treatment,” he said, adding that two patients among them will have to undergo surgery.

Special care will be ensured to the injured, he said, adding that some of them will be released after treatment.
