Confirming this to KNO, AIP chief spokesman Inam-un-Nabi said that the interim bail of Er Rashid has been extended up to October 28 by the Patiala House Court, New Delhi. “We hope to see Er Rashid out on permanent bail soon,” he said.

Er Rashid was released on September 11 after serving five and a half years imprisonment in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail. He was arrested in connection with a terror-funding case. He was granted bail till Oct 4 initially and that was simultaneously extended up to October 15. “Today, we feel relieved that Er Rashid’s bail has been extended till October 28,” said Inam.

Meanwhile, Er Rashid has been extensively touring the North Kashmir Parliamentary constituency to review the pace of developmental projects. He is also visiting hospitals and meeting people for the immediate redressal of their issues.
