Srinagar, Aug 28: While plains of Kashmir witnessed rain, higher reaches in Sonamarg received season’s first snowfall on Wednesday, bringing down.

As per KNO, season’s first snowfall was recorded at Sonamarg’s famous trekking spots, including Vishansar and Nichnai.

Most parts of Jammu and Kashmir including Srinagar, the summer capital of the Union Territory, received fresh rainfall today.

Fresh wet spell has brought relief from scorching heat and mercury plummeted at most places today.

An independent weather forecaster, Faizan Arif Keng has said that during the next 36 hours, a few other higher reaches are expected to receive fresh snowfall till tomorrow.
