Srinagar, Jul 28: Government on Sunday evening announced suspension of classwork upto primary level for next two days in all government and recognised private schools across Kashmir division amid prevailing heatwave.

The Government however said that all teaching and non-teaching staff shall continue to attend their duties as usual.

“In view of the persistent heat wave in the Valley, classwork for students up to the Primary level in both Government and Recognised Private Schools shall remain suspended on 29th and 30th July 2024. However, all teaching and non-teaching staff shall continue to attend their duties as usual,” reads the order issued by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, a copy of which lies with GNS.
