She carried the flag of Imam Hussain (AS) after joining a huge gathering of the followers of the great Imam. She was accompanied by Syed Sajad Rizvi and Mohammed Amin Shah among others.

As per a statement issued to INS, Andrabi visited the Imambaras in Sad at Mohalla, Thokerpora & Malik Mohalla in the locality and participated in holy gatherings.

She also joined the service for the lovers of Imam Ibn-e-Ali at different locations. Dr Darakhshan Andrabi paid obeisance at the shrine of Shaheed Mir Syed Daniyal (RA) and prayed for the peace and brotherhood of whole of humanity.

Dr Andrabi addressed the gatherings at different places and paid tributes to the great Imam. “Great Imam Hussain is my illustrious ancestor and he is the guiding force for whole of humanity. His life is the brightest example of resilience against the evil, cruelty and immorality. His ultimate sacrifice is unparalleled in entire history and he stands as a matchless inspiration for whole of mankind”, said Dr Darakhshan.

Reacting to unpleasant reactions from some people against Muharram & the observance of the days, Dr Andrabi said that it was the time to dump the hate mongers by ignoring them completely as they are seeking cheap publicity for themselves.

She said that for every follower of the great Prophet of Islam, it was mandatory to understand Karbala and Ashoora. “Ashoora is a powerful school where everyone, whoever enters, leaves matured and spiritually elevated. Ashoora teaches the true distinction between good and evil”, said Darakhshan.
