Ganderbal, Jul 16: At least three persons died and another one was critically injured after a vehicle fell into a deep gorge on Zojila Pass in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday, police said.

An official told KNO that the accident took place near Panimatha when the vehicle was on way to zero point from Sonamarg.

He said that in the incident thee persons died on the spot and their bodies are being retrieved while one critically injured has been evacuated and referred to SKIMS Soura.

“The joint rescue operations is being carried out by police, Army, NDRF, SDRF, ITBP and CRPF,” he said.

The deceased have been identified as Champak Das (67), Tandra Das (44) and Monalisha Dass (41)–all residents of Bengaluru, and injured as Aadrita Khan (8).
