Encounter breaks out in Kathua village

Srinagar, Jul 08: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Machhedi area of Kathua district on Monday.

Official sources told GNS that a joint team of police and security forces came under fire during searches in Machhedi area, which the forces retaliated triggering off a gunfight.

Meanwhile, more reinforcement has been sent to the encounter spot, they said.
