Ready to hold assembly polls in J&K: ECI

Srinagar, Jun 03: The Election Commission of India on Monday said that it was ready to conduct assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a press conference, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar as per INS said that the ECI was ready to hold assembly polls in J&K soon.

He also stated that the people in J&K have expressed their faith in democratic exercise by participating in the polls recently.

He added that Jammu and Kashmir has recored the highest voter turnout in Lok Sabha polls in last four decades at 58.6%.
