Srinagar, Feb 19: At least three residential houses were damaged during gusty winds amidst the rainfall in Srinagar on Monday, officials said.
The officials told INS that the winds blow away the rooftops of two residential houses in Rainawari area of Srinagar.
However, they said no injury was reported during the incident.
The houses belong to Firdous & Inaayat, sons of Gh. Mohd of Gada Mohalla, Manzoor Ahmad Sofi, son of Late Mohd Qasim of Lati Mohalla Rainawari.
Moreover, a house belonging to Mohd Aslam Phamda, son of Raj Mohd Phamda of Faqeer Gujree Dara Harwan was damaged during winds today.
Pertinently, Kashmir parts received fresh snowfall while the rains lashed plains.
The weatherman has predicted three-day wet spell in Jammu & Kashmir till February 20, saying that at a few places, there is a forecast of heavy snowfall during the period.
The present weather conditions also led to the closure of Srinagar-Jammu National Highway while the University of Kashmir also postponed all examinations scheduled for today and tomorrow.
