Srinagar, Feb 02: The two-day wet spell in Kashmir has brought the mercury down on Friday as four stations including the gateway of Kashmir recorded the lowest temperature in the last 16 years.

A private weather forecaster, Faizan Keng has shared a detailed statement, saying that Qazigund, Batote, Banihal and Bhaderwah have recorded the lowest temperature in the last 16 years.

As per the details, Southern stations, parts of Jammu and Sonamarg have recorded the extreme cold wave.

Larnoo area in Kokernag was the coldest at minus 17.7°C followed by Sonamarg where the mercury settled at minus 15.1°C.

Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort resort has recorded a low of minus 12.0°C while Pahalgam recorded minus 11.9°C.
