The Meteorological department, as per INS, has claimed that J&K would likely receive light to moderate snowfall from January 29 to January 31.

Moreover, the light snowfall is also expected over higher reaches and scattered places in between January 25 to January 28.

However, the MeT officials have stated that the dry weather would continue across J&K till January 24.

Pertinently, the Kashmir Valley is witnessing the prolonged dry spell, especially during the harshest winter period Chillai-Kalan, which commenced in December 21, 2023 and will end on January 31, 2024.
