Jammu, Jan 12: Security forces on Friday intensified cordon-and-search operation after militants fired at their vehicle in an area in KG sector in Poonch district this evening.

Official said that the there was no casualty due to the firing. Soon after it, they said, security forces intensified the CASO in the area in a bid to nab the attacker(s).

“At around 1800h today, a Security Forces convoy of vehicles was fired upon by suspected terrorists from a jungle near Krishna Ghati #Poonch sector,” defence ministry spokesperson based in Jammu said in a post on ‘X’. “No casualties to own troops. Joint search Operations by #IndianArmy and #JKP are in progress.”
