Notorious drug peddler booked under PIT-NDPS Act in Kulgam: Police

Srinagar, Dec 30: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kulgam on Saturday said to have booked a notorious drug peddler under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.

“The habitual offender & notorious drug peddler namely Dilawar Javid Bhat son of Javid Ahmad Bhat resident of Monghal, Anantnag has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority,” a police spokesman said in a satement issued to INS.

It is pertinent to mention that Kulgam Police has busted several Narcotic & Narco-Terror Modules and have arrested many notorious Drug peddlers in different NDPS cases during this year.

Consistent actions of Police against the criminals should reassure the community members that police is making all efforts to eradicate social evils and making all efforts to keep our society free from drug abuse, the statement said.
