In a post on X, Outlook Traveller Magazine, said that the Valley is an ideal offbeat destination, enveloped by pristine landscapes, apple orchards and meandering rivers.

“Its untouched beauty and tranquillity makes it a hidden gem in India,” it said.

As per KNO, Secretary Tourism Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah said that its a wonderful recognition of the efforts of J&K government in promoting offbeat destinations.

“This will give fillip to all such offbeat destinations in J&K. Our strategy this year has been to bring to focus such offbeat destinations which have huge tourism potential. The focus of the department has been to promote such offbeat destinations which have hitherto been untapped, thereby spreading the growth of the tourism sector to such offbeat destinations across Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

He said that such offbeat destinations getting recognition also provides newer opportunities to the local community for maximising the gains of tourism in a sustainable manner.
