Srinagar, Dec 13: Severe cold conditions continued in Kashmir Valley as Srinagar recorded the season’s coldest night at minus 5.4°C on Thursday.

The mercury at multiple places plummeted further compared to previous night.

According to the data, Qazigund recorded a minimum of minus 3.8°C.

Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 5.8°C while Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 1.6°C.

Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded a low of minus 4.2°C while the mercury settled at minus 5.0°C in Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort.

Pertinently, the weather is expected to remain dry till December 24 while the weatherman here has predicted shallow to moderate fog at many places in Kashmir.
