Cold wave sweeps Kashmir, Sgr shivers at -4.4°C

Srinagar, Dec 10: The cold wave conditions prevailed across the Kashmir region as the minimum temperatures continued to plummet at most stations of the Valley amidst the ongoing dry spell.

According to INS, the weather is expected to remain dry till December 15, but light rains and snowfall would occur at isolated higher reaches from December 12-15.

However, as per the data prepared by Meteorological department, Qazigund recorded the coldest night of the season at -3.0°C.

Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir recorded a low of -4.4°C.

Pahalgam recorded a low of -5.5°C while in Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort, the minimum temperature settled at -4.2°C.

Kupwara recorded a minimum temperature of -3.4°C.
