Kashmir shivers, MeT forecast light rains, snow at isolated places

Srinagar, Dec 08: Kashmir Valley continued to shiver amidst the ongoing dry weather conditions while the weatherman here has predicted light rains at isolated places from Dec 12-15.

The sub-zero temperature was recorded across all the stations of Kashmir with Qazigund recording coldest night of season at -2.4°C.

According to INS, Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of-2.4°C while Pahalgam in South Kashmir recorded a low of -4.8°C.

In Gulmarg, a minimum temperature of -3.0°C was recorded while Kupwara recorded a low of -2.5°C.

Pertinently, an official in the MeT said the night temperature is expected to fall by a few degrees in the next coming days.

The official also said after cloudy and dry weather till December 11, there is a possibility of light rains, snowfall at isolated higher reaches from December 12 to December 15.
