Srinagar, Nov 26: At least seven ‘Baratis’ (wedding guests) were injured after a vehicle they were on board fell into a river in Mandi area of Poonch district.

Reports, as per GNS, said that a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK12C 8618 fell into a river at Saujiyan Higher Secondary School, resulting in injuries to seven on board passengers.

The persons injured in the incident have been identified as Mohammad Lateef (52), son of Ghulam Mohammad; Mohammad Azeem (42), son of Mohammad Hussain; Mohammad Afzal, daughter of Mohammad Din; Mohammad Qayoom (25), daughter of Mohammad Afzal; Gul Khan (52), son of Bashir Ahmad; Mohammad Ayoub (47) son of Munir Hussain and Sajjad Ahmed (22), son of Farooq Ahmad – all residents of Brari Saujiyan.

The injured persons have been removed to SDH Mandi for immediate medical treatment.
