Jammu, Oct 16: Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch Jammu charge-sheeted accused father-son duo for their alleged involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy in forging / preparing false school leaving certificate and managing a government job.
As per a statement, the father-son duo identified as Mukhtyar Ahmed S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Village- Sunderpur Tehsil R.S Pura A/P Rajiv Nagar Nirwal Bala Jammu and Bashir Ahmed S/o Kasim Din R/o Village Sunderpur Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu has been chargesheeted in a case under FIR number 26/2023 under section 420/467/468/471/120-B/ RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu for their involvement in hatching criminal conspiracy in forging / preparing false school leaving certificate and managing a Govt job in the Power Development Department of J&K and thereby causing losses to the Government Exchequer
“Brief facts of the case are that a written complaint was lodged by one Sarfarz Ahmed S/o Bashir Ahmed of Village Sunderpur, Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu where-in the complainant after obtaining information from the Chief Education Officer Jammu under Right to Information Act- 2005, had alleged that the school leaving certificate issued in favour of accused Mukhtyar Ahmed S/o Bashir Ahmed in the year 1979, was not genuine and admission No.1311 existed in the name of one Nazia Bano D/o Naseer Ahmed as such the school leaving certificate produced by Mukhtyar Ahmed in the Power Development department is fake, thereby cheating the PDD J&K by obtaining Govt. job in that department,” the statement reads.
On receipt of the complaint, the spokesman said that a preliminary verification was initiated and the allegations were prima-facie established and subsequently, the instant case was registered for in-depth investigation.
“Relevant record was obtained / seized from concerned School and Power Development Department of J&K, statement of witnesses recorded, Circumstantial and other Material evidence was gathered against the accused and it has been found that the accused Mukhtyar Ahmed in connivance with his father hatched criminal conspiracy in forging /preparing a fake document to seek a Govt. Job,” the Crime Branch statement reads.
Therefore, offences under section 420//467/468/471/120-B/RPC have been proved/established against the accused and charge- sheet has been produced in the Court of law for judicial determination, it added.
