Lt Governor Chairs High-level Meeting on Boosting Investment

JAMMU, MAY 13:  Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting today to discuss strategies to attract more investments into UT of J&K, proactively resolving all the issues with great synergies and to enhance ease of doing business to boost the economy.

The meeting was attended by Sh Shaleen Kabra, Financial Commissioner Revenue; Dr Piyush Singla, Secretary Revenue Department; Sh Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Ms Avny Lavasa, DC Jammu; Sh Sachin Kumar Vaishy, DC Udhampur; Sh Rakesh Minhas, DC Kathua; Sh Abhishek Sharma, DC Samba; Ms Anoo Malhotra, Director General, Industries & Commerce, Jammu; Ms Smita Sethi, Secretary in Industries & Commerce Department; Sh Shiv Kumar Gupta, Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority (JDA).

During the meeting, the Lt Governor directed for setting up help desk of Industries & Commerce Department at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office at Jammu and in 4 Deputy Commissioner’s offices of  Jammu, Kathua, Samba and Udhampur.

The Lt Governor said prime objective of Jammu Kashmir Administration is to ensure proactive and structural response to resolve all issues including change of land use and to enhance ease of doing business.

“Concerned officials must provide necessary support, handholding of investors and help the investors getting all clearances in a time bound manner,” the Lt Governor said.
