Downtown Heroes thrash United Chirang Duar FC Assam by 5-1 in I-League 2nd Division Qualifers

  1. Srinagar: Downtown Heroes began fiercely as soon as the refree whistled to get the game started. With an eye on making it through, Downtown players had it clear on their heads: to score as many as they could.

The aggression was studded by proper plan and smart moves. The coordination was top-notch too with players in sync with each other.

Downtown Heroes struck the goal post five times while Assam could just respond once. Ateeb was the main man. Once he scored the first goal, there was no stopping.

It seemed as if the youngster was trying to display why the Downtown side has ‘Heroes’ in its name. His heroic nudging and supreme striking exposed United Chirang’s defense. They had no answer to his furious movements, letting him score four goals.
