Jammu, Dec 31: Three people were killed and one person injured when a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Bani area of Kathua district on Saturday.

Official sources  said that an Ecco Vehicle (JK02BR 5834) fell into deep gorge at Gera on Bani- Basoli road, resulting in on the spot death of three people and injuries to one person who was removed to hospital by rescuers including police and local volunters. The deceased have been identified as Ajay of Billawar, Mohan Lal of Doda and Kaku Ram of Doda while the injured has been identified as Rajesh Kumar.

Confirming it, a police officer said  that the three people died in the accident and one was injured. He said a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations started.
