Encounter breaks out in Jammu: Police

Jammu, Dec 28: An encounter has started between militants and joint teams of police and army in Sidra area of Jammu district on Wednesday morning.

A senior police officer said that the team, during searches, established contact with militants whose number is believed to be at least three.

He said intermittent exchange of fire was going on in the area and efforts are underway to neutralize the militants as early as possible.
