Food Safety Anantnag seizes fake Honey from Batengoo

ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 28: Officials from Food Safety Department Anantnag today raided a location in Batengoo and recovered fake honey.

An official from the department said that based on a tip off, officials from the department raided a premises in Bijbehara and recovered 40 kg honey and 250 kg sugar material.

The official said that the department had received a tip that some non local were preparing fake honey and using honey combs to lure the customers.

The department has initiated action against the culprits and has appealed the public to desist from purchasing unlabelled honey.
