Bandipora, Aug 20: An 18-months-old girl was killed after hit by a school bus in Lankreshpora area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday, official sources said.

They said that Ajwa Rashid (18 months old) daughter of Abdul Rashid Khan of Lankreshpora village was grievously injured after hit by School Bus.

She was immediately rushed to District Hospital Bandipora where from she was referred to Srinagar hospital, they said. However, she died on way, they added.

Meanwhile, a police officer while confirming the incident said that the accused driver has been arrested besides school bus has been seized. “Further investigations have been set into motion”. It was not immediately known how the girl was at the spot.
